Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol CNG Review Done By Owner – Video

Check out this video where a Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol owner has installed aftermarket CNG and is explaining the pros and cons.

Despite losing a diesel engine, Maruti Vitara Brezza continues to remain one of the best selling SUVs in India. Replacing its highly efficient 1.3 Litre MJD engine comes a new 1.5 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The BS6 Brezza was introduced just after the Auto Expo 2020, towards the end of February.

When you buy a big petrol car that is low on mileage, you either simply can afford it or install an aftermarket CNG kit. Here’s what this owner did with his Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol. After installing the kit, the owner has given us a brief review of it and whether the installation has affected the performance or not.

The complete process of installation is also shown here where we can see the filling valve, ECU, spark timing advancer, pressure reducer, pressure gauge and fuel rail being installed. The engine tuning is also done properly so that there is no dip in the performance. In aftermarket CNG kits, mostly, the filling cap is under the bonnet towards the wiper-washer filler.

After installation, the Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol CNG is taken out for a short spin. The owner explains that it feels just the same as earlier and there is no problem in performance. The car accelerates the same like a petrol car without any lag. The owner also tried fitting 5 people on board but still did not find any problem with the acceleration.

It is said that aftermarket CNG kits gradually damage the engine and front suspension of any car. That’s why it is better to get proper tuning and pairing done with the engine. In a fixed interval, you should get the car serviced and get your CNG systems checked. The owner also shows up how much boot space is taken up which seems fine.

Aftermarket CNG kits usually have a capacity of around 10 kilograms. On the Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol CNG, the total driving range should be around 150-180 kilometres on full tank. Also, you can anyways switch from petrol to CNG and vice-a-versa on the go. The cost of incurring one here is nearly Rs 60,000 which is the same for all cars.
