New one-off V12-powered Ferrari Omologata revealed

This is the Ferrari Omologata. It's a one-off model featuring a coachbuilt aluminium body and is the 10th unique front-engined V12 Ferrari to roll out of the Maranello gates since the P540 Superfast Aperta in 2009.

The Omologata has been commissioned by a Ferrari customer based in Europe, and follows a brief which takes inspiration from not only the brand’s motorsport heritage, but also modern architecture and even science fiction. The project took roughly two years to complete from the initial sketches to the finished example.

It’s based on the 812 Superfast, though only the windscreen and headlights are carried over on the outside. The hand-beaten aluminium forms a much more flowing shape than the donor car; the Omologata curves from its oval front grill and across its swollen front and rear wheel arches.

There’s no rear window - three rear louvres slice into the rear engine cover - beneath which sit a pair of circular tail lamps. The look is completed with a unique paint finish named Rosso Magma, and subtle racing decals.

Inside, the cabin layout is much like the 812, but with unique detailing. The black dashboard is contrasted by blue seats finished in a mix of leather and Jeans Aunde (an alcantara-like fabric). Elsewhere, metal trim on the dashboard and steering wheel sport crackle finish in a nod to some of Ferrari’s greatest historic racers. Another retro touch can be found on the central ‘Ferrari F1 bridge’ and the door handles, which feature a hammered paint finish - much like the effect seen on classics like the 250 LM and 250 GTO, according to Ferrari.

Ferrari hasn’t disclosed any performance stats for the Omologata, though they should closely mirror those of the 812 Superfast on which it's based. That means that the 6.5-litre V12 engine will offer up 789bhp and 718Nm of torque, it should cover the 0-62mph sprint in roughly 2.9 seconds and hit a circa-211mph top speed.
