Resto-Modded Kawasaki KB100 is a Gorgeous Example of Restoration!

This is a Kawasaki KB100 that has been resto-modded by Eimor Customs and the work they have done on the motorcycle is simply stunning, still retaining the charm of the original KB100.

Modern motorcycles have certainly come a long way in the past decade or so but there are still some people who adore the charm of old 2-stroke motorcycles. There are quite a few motorcycles from that era that are still popular today and the best examples in this case would be the Yamaha RX100 and RD350. Another motorcycle that was quite a popular 2-stroke motorcycle of the era is the Kawasaki KB100. Here, we have a beautiful example of a resto-modded Kawasaki KB100 that has been restored by Eimor Customs, a fairly popular name in the modifying circle.

This particular restoration caught our eye because the end result is simply beautiful. The Kawasaki KB100 RTZ was a commuter motorcycle of its time that was powered by a 99.7-cc, two-stroke, single cylinder engine. This engine produced 10 Bhp of peak power and 10.4 Nm of peak torque and it came mated to a 4-speed gearbox as standard. At the time, the Kawaski KB100 had one of the longest wheelbase in its segment. First introduced inn 1986, the Kawasaki KB100 RTZ came as a challenger to the Yamaha RX100 and the Ind-Suzuki AX100.

As you can see, even the chassis has been repainted in black and the black-theme is pretty evident on the rest of the motorcycle as well. The body panels on the motorcycle come painted in a dual-tone white and dark green combination and the paint job is perhaps the most attractive thing about this motorcycle. It seems like the engine too has been repainted in a new silver shade which contrasts beautifully with the blacked-out chain casing and the rear suspension components.

At the front, the forks remain stock but the headlamp has been replaced with a smaller round unit. In fact, the head unit on the motorcycle has been completely replaced and there’s a new single pod instrument cluster instead. The motorcycle also gets new handlebars and turn indicators. Although the KB100 came with drum brakes from the factory, Eimor has installed disc brakes at the front end for better stopping power. The second most attractive thing on this motorcycle after the paint job are the blacked-out wire spoke wheels which are shod in offroad-spec tires.

The rear end of the motorcycle has been designed to look like a scrambler with a small tail tidy and no rear mud-gaurds. The motorcycle also gets new LED tail lamps and the seats too are similar to the ones seen on scrambler motorcycles. Although there are significant bits of modifications here, Eimor Customs has done a beautiful job on this motorcycle without compromising on the charm of the original KB100.
