Tata Motors has filed trademarks for new Dark and Camo Editions for all their current models – Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and Nexon – and also for the upcoming Gravitas SUV. In addition, the Harrier will also get a new Camo Edition.
The Dark Edition of the Tata Harrier has received quite some positive response and now, Tata Motors will be coming out with more Dark Editions of their other model. Tata Motors have filed a trademark for Dark Editions of a number of their models. Along with new Dark Edition models, Tata Motors has also filed trademark for an upcoming all-new Camo-edition for a number of their models as well.
We have already seen what’s the Dark Edition about from the Tata Harrier which is offered on the top-spec XZ and XZ+ trims. On the Harrier, the Dark Edition package brings in an Atlas Black paint shade along with blacked-out alloy wheels, door handles and front and rear skid plates. The headlight surrounds on the Harrier also get a grey treatment and there’s a special #Dark badge at the rear as well.
On the interiors, the Harrier Dark Edition sports an all-black theme with a blacked-out dashboard, door cards, black leather seat upholstery along with some gunmetal grey inserts around the cabin. We expect a similar treatment to be meted out to other Dark Edition models as well, both inside and out. It however remains a mystery at this point of time as to what the Camo Edition is really all about.

Just like the Dark Edition, the Camo Edition too will just be a cosmetic package but it remains to be seen what look it really brings to the cars. As for which models will get these special editions, Tata Motors have filed trademarks for both Dark and Camo editions for all their current models. That includes the Altroz, Tiago, Tigor, Nexon and Harrier. Tata has also filed trademarks for Dark and Camo Editions for the upcoming Tata Gravitas seven-seater SUV as well.

Tata has quite a few new models coming up. Apart from the Gravitas SUV which is set to be their new flagship product, Tata also has a micro-SUV coming up which will be based on the HBX concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The production-spec HBX is slated for a launch in FY2021 and it will sit below the Nexon in Tata’s SUV lineup. Tata also has the Altroz EV -an all-electric version of the its premium hatchback – coming up next year.
