Variants and Their Differences
The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is available in two variants- Sport Line and the range-topping M Sport. The Sportline variant gets 17-inch alloy wheels, ‘Illuminated Berlin’ interior trim with the option of five paint shades for the exterior. Meanwhile, the M Sport variant additionally gets adaptive suspension, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, and choice of six exterior color options.
It also brings in a M Sport body kit with sportier front and rear bumpers, side aprons, ‘M’ badges on the front fenders, gloss black trim around the windows and some chrome embellishment on the front grille. On the inside, the M Sport variant additionally gets M Sport steering wheel and sporty aluminum pedals.
Powertrain and Performance

Price Comparison and Rivals
Quite surprisingly, BMW has priced the 2 Series Gran Coupe extremely close to the 3-series which starts from Rs 41.70 and goes up to Rs 48.50 lakh. The prices also overlaps the price of the BMW X1 which ranges from Rs 35.90 to Rs 42.90 lakh. Yes, it could have been priced a little lower but the petrol engine coming later is expected to bring down the entry-price by a small margin. As for its rivals, it will be pitted directly against the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine and the updated Audi A3 sedan.
