There Are 5 Most Unique Features of the New Nissan Magnite!

Nissan has to be bold with the new Magnite to make it a success and they have certainly packed it with features to make it stand out. This is the most techy Nissan we have seen in India and it even gets some segment-first features not even offered on the Kia Seltos.

Another day and another brand-new sub-compact SUV was unveiled for India. Nissan globally debuted the Magnite sub-compact SUV just yesterday and first impressions are indeed quite good. The sub-compact SUV space is currently very crowded and the Nissan Magnite needs quite some distinguishing factors to make its its presence felt. Being restricted for being a ‘small car’ and operating in a price-sensitive bracket, manufacturers have limited options to play with. Nissan has certainly got the styling bang on but they are also offering the Magnite with many segment-first features, some that do not even come on most equipped car in this segment, the Kia Sonet. So here’s a list of all the unique features on the Nissan Magnite that set it apart.

Here are the five most unique features of the Nissan Magnite not offered on its rivals.

360-degree parking camera

360-degree parking camera was first made mainstream by the MG Hector and now, it goes even more mainstream with the Nissan Magnite. This is also a segment-first feature on the Magnite with four cameras on each of the four sides of the car. While it may be an unique feature in this segment, there’s no getting around the poor resolution of the camera feed. What also worsens the feed is the poor stitching of the 360-degree view on the cramped 8-inch screen. It still might be useful once you get used to it and it even features a dedicated parallel parking mode.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is not only a segment-first feature for the Nissan Magnite but even cars priced much higher than the Magnite do not have this feature. If you are a regular user of these applications, you surely realize that cables can get a little cumbersome at times. Hence, you will really appreciate a wireless experience. On the Magnite, this happens via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the car. Given the fact that the in-built system on the Magnite isn’t the best one around, you will find yourself using these apps more often than not. A wireless experience only makes it better.

Fully-Dogital 7-inch TFT Instrument cluster

This has to be one of the biggest highlights of the Nissan Magnite. The Magnite gets a full-digital high-resolution instrument cluster which shows you a ton of information. The screen is also very customizable where you can choose exactly what information you want to be displayed, such as digital speedometer, trip computer, tyre pressure system, eco-driving computer etc. The other screen in the car is the central 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system but it isn’t the most slick and responsive to use.

The Tech Pack

Although this is not a standard feature, it does bring in some additional equipment as an optional extra. The Tech Pack can be opted for in the top-spec variant of the Magnite. While the standard car comes with a six-speaker sound system, the Tech Pack adds a ‘premium’ JBL six-speaker sound system. The tech pack also brings in wireless charging feature. Couple this with your wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay feature and you are guaranteed a very smooth connected experience with the car.

Dedicated Microphone and Loudspeaker for Calls

The last very interesting feature that the Magnite packs in is the dedicated microphone and loudspeaker that comes mounted on the ceiling to manage your calls. The dedicated loudspeaker and microphone are meant to give you a crystal clear experience with your calls and perhaps talking on the phone while on the go has never been easier. However, we would still not advice you to talk over the phone while driving as that can be really dangerous sometimes.
