Would You Believe This Luxury Van is a DC2 Modified Tata Winger?

Modified by DC2, this vehicle started life as an older BS4-spec Tata Winger but looks nothing like it now. DC2 has done an exceptional job with the exterior body work and interiors of this MPV, one that could give much more expensive luxury MPVs a run for their money.

DC Design is perhaps the best aftermarket modifier in the country and a very popular name in the vehicle customisation circle. They had been dormant for some while but have now come back in the market with a new name – DC2. With a bunch of fresh designs, DC2 has few vehicles up their sleeves which are really drool worth. One of DC’s main area of expertise was interior customization and they continue to blow our minds at that. Here’s a heavily modified Tata Winger by DC2 that looks nothing like a Winger but almost an international-spec luxury van.

The Tata Winger is a huge MPV that’s essentially only a people’s carrier. Although Tata Motors launched a facelift of the Winger at this year’s Auto Expo, this modified vehicle is based on the older BS4-spec Winger. And you certainly cannot tell that. The entire body work for this Winger has been custom built and it really looks sensational now. There’s a tone of minimalism in the design but it all comes together very well. The face gets custom projector-type headlamps with LED DRLs and we love how the grille splits the upper and lower portion of the face by going around the entire width of the car.

There’s also a sleek DC logo in between the grille with the lower bumper having a mesh design for the air dam and integrated LED fog lamps. From the side, this modified Tata Winger really looks like a luxury camper van. The roofline has been re-profiled and the wheel arches have been flared. They are distinct character lines all over the sides and the window area too has been redesigned. At the rear, this vehicle gets new LED tail lamps within a reflector bar and redesigned bumpers. The gloss black finish on the vehicle with subtle chrome elements and the multi-spoke alloy wheels bring out an extremely good looking MPV. We haven’t seen any MPV in India look as premium as this.

Like with most other DC interiors, your mind is blown when you open the doors. The interiors of this Tata Winger have been converted into a lounge area and there seems to space for as many as five people. There’s a bench seat on one side with space for three while the other end seems to have more premium seats with space for two. Almost the entire interiors have a white theme to it and then to jazz up things further, DC has thrown in a number of colored ambient lights which really lift the mood inside the car.

Perhaps the only missing element here is a bed, in case you were too tired to go home.

This modified Tata Winger also comes with several other features such as LED screens, powered curtains, high end audio system, lots of storage, a refrigerator, pop out tables and much more. Perhaps the only missing element here is a bed, in case you were too tired to go home. This BS4-spec Tata Winger is powered by a 2.2 litre diesel engine that produces 100 bhp and 190 Nm of torque and it comes mated to a manual gearbox only. DC2 has done an exceptional job in modifying this Tata Winger and it looks really unique, both from the inside and outside. It could indeed give many luxury vans and MPVs a run for their money.
