Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 with two new color options – Metallo Silver and Orange Ember – each priced at Rs 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle has also been updated with alloy wheels and tubeless tires.
Royal Enfield has a new Classic 350 coming up based on the new J-platform along with the new 350cc engine but that hasn’t deterred them from tampering around with the existing Classic 350. No, it’s nothing major. Just a couple of new color schemes and new alloys for the Classic 350 but it makes a world of a difference to the look of the motorcycle. Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 with two new color options – Metallo Silver and Orange Ember – each priced at Rs 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle has also been updated with alloy wheels and tubeless tires.
Although its only a paint scheme, the bring color schemes add a lot of drama to the look of the retro roadster. In fact, a youthful color palette like that has come together very well on what is a very old school motorcycle. The new alloy wheels also greatly enhance the look of the motorcycle. The standard Classic 350 comes with wire-spoke wheels. Royal Enfield has now also listed the Classic 350 on their Make It Yours (MiY) personalisation mobile app. This will now allow customers to personalize their motorcycle exactly to their taste with genuine RE accessories, colour options and more.
Introducing the new motorcycle variants, Vinod K Dasari – CEO, Royal Enfield said, “In a continuous effort to evolve the Classic, we have introduced new variants of the motorcycle and added the option to view and configure, enabling our riders to express themselves in distinct and unique ways. The young and vibrant colour schemes and trims of the Classic 350, coupled with several personalisation and accessorisation combinations via MIY will definitely offer a more involved purchase and ownership experience for riding enthusiasts. We are also very happy that MiY has been very well received by our audiences. More than 80 per cent of our newly launched Meteor owners have opted for MiY solutions which is a testament to its success. We are confident that Classic 350 customers will follow suit.”

Royal Enfield intends to bring in some youthfulness and a refreshing experience with Classic 350 owners and that they will surely do. The Classic 350 has been the bread and butter model for RE for over a decade now and the model still continues to be a major chunk of RE’s volumes. The Classic 350 is actually inspired by the J2 motorcycle that Royal Enfield used to make in the post-World War II era during the 1950s.

Mechanically however, the motorcycle remains completely unchanged. The Classic 350 continues to be powered by a 346 cc unit construction engine (UCE) that produces 19.1 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The Classic 350 gets disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS as well.
