Every year, in India, the festive season of Diwali sees numerous cases of fire being reported all around in the country. In this video, we can see the car rolling down the street engulfed in flames and smoke. The firecrakers are continuing to burst inside the car, almost continuously, as can be seen and heard in the video. The car can be seen rolling down the street ablaze as the driver must have left the car engaged in drive while trying to exit the car in an emergency. Although the exact cause of the fire is not known, it could be several reasons in reality. There could either be an electrical short circuit in the electrical components of the car or the firecrackers may have been set ablaze due to static friction.

Whatever may have been the reason, the situation could have been much more worse for the passengers inside the car and even for innocent bystanders on the road. The Diwali season particularly sees a huge uptick in fire related incidents every year. This year itself, the Delhi Fire Services were reported with as many as 206 incidents, four of them being really major ones, and one even claiming a life in Mundka.

Banning of firecrackers is perhaps the right way to go forward. With rising levels of pollution all around the country and such fatalities still continuing to be a common occurrence, we can ensure a safer and happier Diwali even without the firecrackers. Even if you are bursting firecrackers, we advice you to be cautious with them and particularly be careful how you are handling them. Safety should always be the ultimate priority.
