Tata Gravitas – Exterior

The front profile of the Gravitas will not be much different from the Harrier, which is only a good thing. The LED DRLs continue to be on the bonnet and the LED Headlamps are house down on the bumper. There is a large grille at the front making for an imposing road-presence. The side profile is also similar to the Harrier until the B-pillar. After that, the longer dimension of the car comes into play.

Gravitas will have a large rear overhang to accommodate the third row of seating. The length of the car is increased by 63 mm and the height is up by 80 mm. The wheelbase sits at a comfortable 2741 mm. The longer and higher dimensions help in accommodating the third row. Tata has neatly scooped out space from the roof of the Gravitas to allow for a decent headroom for the third-row passengers. The rear tail lamps are connected by a blacked-out slab that gives the rear of the Gravitas a modern look.

Tata Gravitas – Interior

The interiors of the Gravitas continue to be plush and upmarket just like the Harrier. The feature list will be extensive including a floating full-digital infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, textured dashboard, plenty of storage spaces, a Digital Instrument Cluster and a Sunroof. Additionally, there will also be a JBL Audio System and USB Charging Ports for all three-rows.

The 6-seater arrangement will have two captain seats in the middle row, which is the one for people looking for luxury and comfort. For the people looking for a bit more practical arrangement, the 7-seater version will do the trick.

Tata Gravitas – Prices and Competition

Tata Gravitas will cost around Rs 15 – Rs 20 lakh range. This invites competition from the likes of Hector Plus, the upcoming Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming Hyundai Creta (7-seater). With each of these being popular cars, the competition will be beneficial for the customers. Each carmaker will try to outdo the other by giving loads of features and pricing their products aggressively.
