Thereafter, Indian automobile enthusiasts are excited as the Isuzu India website has been teasing the V-Cross arrival. The official website says that the new Isuzu V-Cross is coming soon. Being a lifestyle pick-up truck, and one of a kind in India for now, it boasts of unique styling and design elements. The sheer size of it is very imposing and renders a bold road presence. At a massive 5.3m in length and over 3m wheelbase, you will not have a tough time if you’re seated in the backseat. The bigger 18-inch alloys are high profile tyres will ensure your riding comfort during those off-road trips, for which the Isuzu V-Cross is built. Isuzu V-Cross Interior

If anything needs to change in the already popular Isuzu V-Cross, it is the interiors. The current models have an all-black theme which does give it a sporty feel. However, the fit and finish and features offered are not top-notch and most modern, to say the least. This time around, we expect a much modern interior in terms of tech and convenience features.

Isuzu V-Cross Engine and Gearbox

The Isuzu V-Cross will come with a BS6 compliant 1.9-litre diesel engine, making 148hp and 350Nm, mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. This model will feature in the higher-spec trim of the V-Cross. The lower variants might get the same 2.5-litre diesel engine, which produces 134hp and 320Nm with a 6-speed manual gearbox option. It will be interesting to know if the new engines do come to our shores later, which have been revealed internationally. Presumably, every model will come with 4WD as standard.

Isuzu V-Cross Prices and Competitors

The new Isuzu V-Cross will be priced somewhere around Rs 17 lakh and Rs 21 lakh, ex-showroom. It is a bit higher than the outgoing model. The Isuzu V-Cross is a typical off-roader with very few direct competitors in India. Currently, it sits a segment above the Thar and Gurkha, which are the sole two hardcore off-roading SUVs in the country. Rumors of Toyota Hilux are also doing rounds, which can prove to be a much like-for-like competitor for the V-Cross.
