In an effort to boost sales, Hyundai introduced a few special edition models to the lineup of Grand i10 Nios and Santro. But now, Hyundai has decided to discontinue these models due to low demand. The point was to make these products more tempting by adding a few features to the mid-level trims of the cars. This made it a good value for money proposition to have some added features at a nominal price. While Hyundai was able to record its highest production in a month for December, it has axed some variants from its line up now. Let us look in detail at the affected models and variants.

Hyundai Venue 1.0 T-GDI S MT
Owing to a possible low demand for this variant, Hyundai decided to take this model off the shelf. This model came with a manual gearbox, that a lot of enthusiast drivers enjoy in comparison to the automatic transmission. However, not a lot of people wanted a manual gearbox option in this turbo petrol guise, which is why it was discontinued. Venue still gets the1.0 T-GDI S trim with a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission.
The Venue ended up being the highest-selling compact SUV in India for December 2020. The prices of the Venue start from Rs 6.75 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 11.65 lakh, ex-showroom.

There was an addition of a 6.7-inch Digital Touchscreen Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Electrically Retractable ORVMs, Air Purifier and unique wheel design to make it look like alloys. All these features were added to the Magna trim at a reasonable price.
The engine and gearbox options for this edition included the 1.2-litre petrol with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT and a 1.2-litre diesel with a manual gearbox. But now that the festive season is over and Hyundai did achieve decent sales, it has decided to discontinue this model. The prices for the Grand i10 Nios range from Rs 5.12 lakh to Rs 8.35 lakh, ex-showroom.
