Mahindra TUV300 Plus Spied Testing – Interiors Revealed!

Mahindra is gearing up for an exciting 2021 with a plethora of new launches. We have already published the posts about the new XUV500 and Scorpio. Now the product in question is the TUV300 Plus. It too has been spied testing multiple times. But this time around the spy shots reveal the interiors of the upcoming car. The TUV300 has been a car that has found its customers in the semi-urban and rural regions. The reasons are obvious, rugged built, high ground clearance, plenty of space including 9-seating capacity. The body-on-frame chassis setup also made it a suitable off-roader.

Now, Mahindra has revamped the TUV300 Plus and it might come with the 7/8/9-seater arrangement. However, the interior of the new TUV300 Plus looks more or less the same as the outgoing model. What else is expected from this launch, let us take a look!

Mahindra TUV300 Plus – Exterior

Although the spy shots show that the exterior of the TUV300 plus is heavily camouflaged, the silhouette of the vehicle is clearly visible. The body structure remains more or less the same with a boxy design and prominent wheel arches. The headlamps in the image don’t look like LED units, but rather normal halogens. The sides also retain the squared-off design language. The front hosts the typical Mahindra slatted grille. It will still have that overall heavy SUVish road presence with the new large sporty bumpers.

Mahindra TUV300 Plus – Interior

It is the inside of the TUV300 Plus that has been clearly revealed in this spy shot. The chunky door handles are to be seen in the image. This gives it a robust feel. Apart from that, the brushed aliminium-like accents can be seen at multiples places including the dashboard, around the centre console and on the steering wheel. The interior theme seems to follow the dual-tone pattern. A small-sized digital touchscreen can also be seen in the image. What is a bit odd is that there are not too many changes to be found inside the new TUV300 Plus in comparison to the outgoing model.

Mahindra TUV300 Plus – Engine and Transmission

The Mahindra TUV300 Plus will most likely be launched with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which will be BS6 compliant. This engine produces 120PS and 280Nm. The transmission system will most likely be a 6-speed manual unit. Being the SUV of the masses, this is the engine-gearbox combination, we think, Mahindra will continue with. Whether Mahindra equips the TUV300 Plus with the new mStallion engine, is likely to be seen.

Mahindra TUV300 Plus – Prices and Rivals

The outgoing Mahindra TUV300 Plus cost from Rs 9.98 lakh to Rs 11.47 lakh, ex-showroom. Since there are not many changes with the new model, the prices will not be very high from these. But do expect an incremental increase above these prices. Being a different type of SUV, it does not really have too many direct rivals. One of the rivals could be its own older sibling, the Bolero, which also caters to the same customers. We can expect the TUV300 Plus to launch any time this year.
