Bajaj Platina 100 ES – Engine and Specifications

The Bajaj Platina comes with a 102 cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with SOHC (Single-Overhead Cam Shaft) system. The bike comes with the Electric Start function which is a great convenience to have in the entry-level bike. Gone are the days when one had to keep kicking the bike to get it started. Being an efficient engine, the mileage is also decent. Another important factor is the Spring-in-spring suspension system. This is especially great for our road conditions for the long journeys. The driver as well as the pillion will have a better ride quality with this suspension setup. The front and the rear suspension is now 20% longer compared to the outgoing model. This provides tremendous bump absorption over the rough patches of the road.
