Citroen has recently unveiled its much-awaited luxury SUV, the C5 Aircross in India. Citroen wants to establish the brand in the country and therefore, the first product is a luxury car to carry the DNA of the brand rather than a mass-market product. The unique design and feature-packed car are some of the key highlights of the C5 Aircross. Additionally, the French carmaker has announced that the second product will be the volume-oriented product in Idia and will fall in the compact SUV segment. With heavy localization and competitive pricing, the CC21 (codename) compact SUV will likely popularize the brand in India. In that context, a video of the heavily camouflaged CC21 has surfaced online and the interiors are clearly visible on the video. The exterior was spied earlier and we can finally make out what the overall design of the compact SUV might look like.

Citroen CC21 – Spied Interiors
The video clearly shows that the compact SUV will feature a free-standing large Digital Touchscreen Infotainment System. We expect that it will come with all the connectivity features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, Connected CarTech, Multi-purpose Steering Wheel with square design cues and much more. We also expect the continuation of the square theme all across the outside and the inside. This might be the dual-screen setup like we have been seeing on modern cars which gives the cabin a premium feel. Also, in order to compete with the rivals, Citroen needs to pack the CC21 with a lot of new goodies and still manage to keep the costs in check.

Citroen CC21 – Exteriors
The spy shots that were spotted earlier show sleek headlamps with a large bumper with a squared-off fog light unit and sporty front scuff plates to give it a sporty appearance. The side profile is accentuated by the roof rails and floating roof effect with blacked-out quarter glass. The rear is typically Citroen with squared-off LED tail lamps unit with square-themed rear bumper with scuff plates. The overall design makes the C21 look modern and sporty and something fresh. For people looking for something unique in design, this will surely excite them.
Citroen CC21 – Expected Engines, Prices and Rivals
C21 will most likely come with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, making a healthy 130 hp. The transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and an automatic. These could be the best-in-segment power output figures but Mahindra XUV300 Sport will feature the new-gen direct injection turbo petrol engine from Mahindra’s mStallion family which will make similar power. Being a compact SUV, the C21 will take on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. The prices are likely to be very competitive to take on the competition and we expect the prices range of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom. The launch is likely to take place before the end of this year.
