BMW 6 Series GT – Exterior Highlights
The exteriors of the BMW represent the typical designing language of the German carmaker. However, they are distinct with sharper and sleek LED Adaptive Laser Headlights which distribute the light evenly upto the distance of 650 metres, new contours of the signature Kidney Grille, twin L-shaped LED DRLs accentuating the edges of the front end and much more. On the side, the GT aspect is clearly visible through the sloping roofline and long wheelbase. The rear houses the muscular creases, LED tail lamps setup, two freeform tailpipes along with other bits. The overall exteriors do scream typical BMW but are fresh enough to make sure that it looks something from the modern generation.

BMW 6 Series GT – Interiors
Being a GT, it is bound to be luxurious on the inside. The 6 Series GT is not different. BMW has taken care of the rear passengers in particular. The quality of the interiors is very high, the space is huge and the rear seats are extremely comfortable with reclining function to maximize comfort. There is exclusive Nappa leather upholstery, Ambient Lighting, and a Panoramic Sunroof to give the cabin an even more spacious appearance than it already it. The boot compartment is quite generous with a capacity of 600 litres with all seats up and extends to 1800 litre maximum. Overall, one could feel that he/she is sitting in something that is designed while keeping in mind the comfort of passengers.

BMW 6 Series GT – Features and Safety
The features list on the BMW 6 Series GT is thoroughly extensive with features like a 12.3-inch Fully-Digital Instrument Display, now bigger 12.3-inch Control Display, BMW Cockpit Profession Operating System, Voice Commands through the Virtual Assitant, BMW Gesture Control, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Premium Surround Sound Audio System, Rear Seat Entertainment Professional with two 10.25-inch full-HD Touchscreen Monitor Display, a Blu-Ray Player, Screen Mirroring Function and two USB Ports, Four-Zone Automatic Climate Control and a whole host of other features.
On the safety front, the BMW 6 Series comes with a plethora of features including, Six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounting and emergency spare wheel.

BMW 6 Series GT – Engines, Transmission and Prices
The BMW is known for making exciting engines even it is a GT product. There are 3 engines on offer with the 6 Series GT; a 2.0-litre turbo petrol making 258 hp and 400 Nm, a 2.0-litre diesel engine making 190 hp and 400 nm and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine making 265 hp and 620 Nm with a 0-100 kmph time of just 6.1 secs. The transmission duties are performed by an 8-speed Steptronic Automatic Gearbox with Paddle Shifters and Cruise Control with Braking. There is an Adaptive Air Suspension as standard across all variants, along with various driving modes to choose from. The Parking Assistant with Rear Parking Sensors and Camera helps the car to remember the last 50 m route and can perform the reverse route automatically.
The prices of the 2.0 petrol are Rs 67.90 lakh, the 2.0-litre diesel is Rs 68.90 lakh and the 3.0-litre diesel is Rs 77.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The rivals of the BMW 6 Series GT include Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which is the most popular car from the German luxury carmaker in India.
