The updated Toyota Fortuner has been made more desirable with some new features and appearance changes keeping it in line with the modern design language. The overall stance of the Fortuner lets the size of the humungous SUV known. There are a few differences between the regular Fortuner and the top-trim Legender variant to give them both a distinct appearance.

The Ford Endeavour, on the other hand, is a hardcore off-roading vehicle that has a ton of focus on the luxury and comfort of the passengers as well. It is trying to strike a balance between being a lifestyle vehicle and a hardcore machine with some serious off-roading capabilities. The front end features a Chrome Radiator and Fender Grille, Bi-LED Headlamps, LED DRLs, Front Skid Plates on the bumper and bright roof rails. The Ford Endeavour is a bit longer and wider than the Toyota Fortuner which also translates into a longer wheelbase. This is especially helpful in the case of the 7-seat SUV which frees up a larger space for third-row passengers. Apart from that, there is nothing much to choose from between these two SUVs.

The new Fortuner does include a change under the bonnet as well. The 2.7-litre petrol engine will continue, which makes 166hp and 245Nm. It comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. While this engine remains unchanged, the 2.8-litre diesel engine makes more power than before. It makes 204hp in comparison to 177hp previously. In the manual version, this engine produces 420Nm of torque, but with the automatic, it will produce a mammoth 500Nm. The prices of the Toyota Fortuner range between Rs 30.34 lakh to Rs 38.30 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Ford Endeavour also comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine making 175 PS of peak power and 420 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties are carried by a 10-speed automatic gearbox which allows for an efficient drive because of options of 10 gear which enables the vehicle to be in the ideal operating range at all times. The prices of the Ford Endeavour range between Rs 29.99 lakh to Rs 36.25 lakh, ex-showroom.

Toyota Fortuner vs Ford Endeavour- Verdict

Which SUV to go for between these two is a million-dollar question. Choosing between these two really depends on your personal preference. Both these SUVs have loyal fans for a long time. We can suggest that if anyone of you is looking to buy a proper SUV with a ton of off-roading capabilities, you can’t really go wrong with either of these two SUVs. If you are looking for a more trusted engine, you might opt for the Toyota Fortuner and if you want some more features and in-cabin conveniences, you might go for the Ford Endeavour.
