Hyundai Tweaks Top Variants Of Creta With New Features!

The second-largest car manufacturer in the country has made some tweaks to some of the variants of the largest-selling SUV in the country. We, of course, are talking about the Hyundai Creta. One could argue that being the most popular SUV in the country, there was no need for any changes in the SUV but Hyundai has been proactive and wants to keep the SUV in top shape without any flaws. Hence, it has brought in some new features on the top trims; SX and SX(O). Also, the base model sees the removal of some features from the equipment list. But what all these changes are, must be looked at in detail. So, let us dive into it.

Hyundai Creta – Updates

While there are no prominent changes on the outside, the base E trim gets a new location for the front turn indicator on the front fender. That will differentiate the base model from the other trims. Apart from that, there are some feature changes on the inside of the variants of the Creta. This includes the addition of Over-the-top updates for the Infotainment System of the SX and SX(O) trims. This will include new Voice Command Functions for operating power windows, retrieve contact information or search for points of interest. There will also be the addition of a new smart key for remote engine operation including Engine start. There will some visual changes to the dashboard design of the Creta and the new Voice Greetings. These will remind the driver to wear a seat belt apart from other things.

On the other hand, the base version of the Creta, E, will see the deletion of some of the important features from its equipment list. This includes features like Electrically Operated Wing Mirrors, Luggage Lamp and Passenger Seat Pocket. These are some of the important features which will not be available with the base variant of Creta anymore. This might persuade the customers to go for the higher variants.

The Hyundai Creta has as long a feature list as it gets. Hyundai is already popular in India for making cars that are rich in features and Creta is no exception. When you enter the inside of the Creta, you are greeted by either of the two interior colour schemes; Sporty All black interiors with Orange inserts or Modern and sophisticated Black & Greige Interiors. The features list includes a 10.25-inch Digital Infotainment System with all the modern connectivity like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Advanced Blue Link Connected Car Tech, a 7-inch Digital infotainment System for Driver’s information, Wireless Phone Charging, Driver Centric Console with Automatic Climate Control, Ventilated Front Seats, Steering Mounted Audio Controls with Voice Recognition, Panoramic Sunroof, BOSE Premium Sound System, Rear Window Sunshade, Soothing Blue Ambient Lighting, Leather-wrapped D-Cut Steering Wheel and much more.

Hyundai Creta Interiors

Hyundai Creta- Engines, Transmissions and Prices

The Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, comes with a plethora of engine-gearbox combinations including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol making 115 PS and 144 Nm, a 1.5-litre diesel making 115 PS and 250 Nm and a 1.4-litre Turbo petrol with direct injection making 140 PS and 242 Nm. These engines can be had with either a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, 7-speed DCT or a CVT transmission options. The Hyundai Creta costs between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 17.67 lakh, ex-showroom.
