Maruti Suzuki has been planning the launch of its second-gen Celerio for quite some time now. However, it was pushed back due to the worsening pandemic situation in May 2021. Now, the design model of the same has been leaked and we shall discuss the details that the models express. We had earlier reported that the interiors of the Celerio were also spied along with the camouflaged exteriors in a detailed video. We can deduce a few things in terms of the exterior design of the upcoming hatchback from Maruti Suzuki through the leaked images. So without any further ado, let us get into the story.

2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio – Leaked Model
The model reveals quite a different appearance of the Celerio compared to the outgoing model. This new-gen Celerio is likely to be a bit more upright and rounded from the edges in contrast to being a bit angular as is currently the case. The front grille looks like it has been inspired by the new Swift with the chrome bar in the middle. The front bumper will also be completely redesigned which will also host the fog lamps. The headlamp unit also seems to be a bit rounded. The sides will not feature any sharp creases and the trend of the curves continues here as well. It must be noted that the door handles in this model are the regular ones instead of the modern handles which are available with the current-gen model. The rear will feature a sort of upright bumper along with rounded tail lamps and overall appearance.

2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio – Expected Interiors and Features
Being the newest member of the Maruti Suzuki family, the Celerio is likely to come with all the basic modern amenities. This might include things like a Digital Infotainment Touchscreen System with the basic Connectivity Features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Bluetooth Connectivity, Digital or Part-Digital Instrument Cluster, Steering Mounted Audio Controls, Bluetooth and Smartphone Connectivity, Automatic Climate Control to name a few. The safety aspects might include Dual Airbag Setup, ABS with EBD as standard equipment. There will likely be Reverse Parking Sensors with Cameras as well. All in all, it will most likely be a cabin full of comfort and modern features.

2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio – Expected Powertrains and Prices
The new Celerio will most likely come with a 1.0-litre petrol or a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The 1.0-litre engine will make 68hp and 90Nm and the 1.2-litre will make 82hp and 113Nm. Both engines will come mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission. We expect the prices of the updated Celerio to be a bit higher than the current model. This means that the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio might cost you somewhere between Rs 4.50 lakh to Rs 7.50 lakh, showroom. The rivals of the Celerio are not too many, but they are Hyundai Santro and Renault Kwid.
