Rare Aston Martin DB5 triplets for sale for £4m

Not one, but three versions of Aston Martin's iconic DB5 Vantage will be displayed and offered for sale for a cool £4 million at the London Concours event from 8 June.

Until recently the DB5 Vantage Coupe, Convertible and ultra-rare Shooting Brake were all in the hands of a private collector for 12-years. Each has been fully restored during that time.

The DB5 Vantage coupe comes with the same Silver Birch paint and Black leather interior driven to fame by James Bond, in 1964’s Goldfinger. The Convertible member of the trio is painted in a rare period-correct Caribbean Pearl Blue, matched with White Gold hide interior.

The ultra-rare Shooting Brake is based on an estate variant created to accommodate Aston Martin chairman David Brown's gundog and polo habit. It’s finished in Sage green and features a hand-built aluminium body crafted by London-based coachbuilders Harold Radford & Sons, also famous for its Rolls-Royce, Bentley and original Mini creations.

What's special about this particular Shooting Brake is it's reputedly the only 1 of 11 customer cars said to have been built to Vantage spec from the factory. With a racier cylinder head and triple twin-choke Weber carbs power rises 40bhp to 325bhp and the DB5 Vantage Shooting Brake should easily be able to sprint from 0-60mph in less than 6.5 seconds.
