Tata Nexon Crashes In The Rain, Keeps Everyone Safe

The Tata Nexon became the first Indian SUV to bag a full 5-star rating at Global NCAP. While this is something that even the Mahindra XUV300 offers, the Brezza-rival from Tata Motors enjoys much higher popularity than the Tivoli-based adversary

If you’re in the market for a new sub-compact SUV and are not interested in the Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, or the Kia Sonet, then the Tata Nexon is a great choice in the segment. The SUV comes with flexible engine choices, class-leading safety features, feature-loaded trim levels, a spacious cabin with great build quality, and eye-catching prices. Since its mid-life update in 2020 which gave it a redesigned front-end and added even more features, the Nexon has seen an upturn in sales. Consumers reacted positively to the redesign and have been impressed with the vehicle’s safety features as the Nexon has been in some heavy crashes but has kept the occupants safe. Today we came across this Nexon that met with an accident while being driven at a high speed in wet conditions.

The pictures have been uploaded by indiasonic on Instagram. The accident happened in Hyderabad when the driver was driving in the rain at speeds of 70-80 kmph. Suddenly something fell out of the lorry ahead of the Nexon due to which the driver had to take evasive measures. However, the vehicle lost control due to the slippery conditions and rammed into the divider. The Nexon has suffered heavy damages, with the entire driver’s side and the front end bearing the brunt of the crash. The bonnet, doors, and the fender has crumpled to absorb the forces of the accident while all airbags are deployed upon impact. Luckily, all the passengers were completely safe and unscathed. The Nexon has a full 5-star adult crash test safety rating from Global NCAP, and it is in accidents like these where the value of safety becomes paramount.
