Citroen India, which commenced its operations with the launch of the C5 Aircross premium SUV earlier this year, has just announced the successful deliveries of 2 units in Surat and Chandigarh through its online car sale portal. The latest initiative from the local subsidiary of the French carmaker enables 100% online purchase of the Citroen C5 Aircross in more than 50 cities. In fact, some of these cities do not even have a physical dealership but still support online purchases. The online sale portal, dubbed Citroen BUY ONLINE, allows one to configure the vehicle as per his or her requirements. The car is then shipped straight from the carmaker’s manufacturing facility in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. The company has partnered with CarWale for the last mile, doorstep delivery of the vehicle.
It is important to mention here that the brand had announced its preparedness to sell vehicles online during the launch of the Citroen C5 Aircross back in April 2021. Using the online portal, one can order a brand new SUV right from the comfort of his or her home and get the car straight from the factory without the involvement of a dealership anywhere in the process Some of the salient features of this platform include High-Definition 3D configurator, dedicated e-sales advisor, finance, insurance, annual maintenance packages, extended warranty as well as trade-in of the existing car. Moreover, the Citroen BUY ONLINE platform even supports all customers with their aftersales requirements through a pan-India Road Side Assistance Program. Using this, owners of the Citroen C5 Aircross can get their cars serviced at a location of their choice using the ‘Service on Wheels’ facility. One can even avail aftersales services at the service centres in the L’Atelier aftersales workshop network.
