The Mahindra XUV 700 is inching closer to its launch with every passing day. In the pre-cursor to the official debut of the vehicle, Mahindra has been teasing various features of its new flagship through short video clips on social media. Earlier, we reported about the new SUV’s auto headlamp booster and a largest-in-segment panoramic sunroof. Now, the carmaker has dropped yet another teaser, this time, revealing the Tata Safari-rival’s ‘Smart Door Handles’ similar to what you find on a Range Rover Velar.

Mostly seen on much costlier cars, usually from marques like Jaguar Land Rover, these door handles sit flush in the sheetmetal and pop out as soon you unlock the car. They shift back to their original position once you’ve opened the door using them. With this, it’s for sure that the XUV700 will get yet-another segment-first feature that would easily help it stand out among its rivals. What is now left to be seen is if these handles will be available across all the variants are if they would be reserved to the top-spec version.
