The truck looks like a genuine off-roading machine and something designed only for rough terrain applications. Every bit of the exterior screams ruggedness and muscularity. The elephant in the room is the large off-roading tyres with a broad cross-section and off-road-oriented tread patterns. The tyres are high profile tyres for off-road comfort and ride quality. The suspension has been raised significantly to accommodate the large tyres and enable high ground clearance. The front-end looks sporty and butch with a textured bonnet hood and broad front grille along with the LED headlamps on the bumper and LED DRLs on the bonnet line. The skid plate line is redesigned to remain robust during challenging tracks.

The high beam LED lights on the top of the roof highlight the off-roading equipment to convert a jungle into a party place. The same goes for the additional lighting on the back of the rear seat compartment. The strongly built and highly usable side support bars at the cargo compartment area accentuate the utilization aspect of the SUV. Plenty of luggage could be stored at the back and securely tied down for off-roading adventures. It is something that is an inherent part of any off-roading vehicle.

The regular Tata Harrier comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that belts out 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. The transmission duties are carried by either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. However, the above-mentioned variant might well feature plenty of off-roading equipment and tech. This might include things like Terrain Modes, 4×4 Drive System, Mechanically/Electronically Locking Differential, Drives Modes and more. The regular version of Tata Harrier on sale ranges between Rs 14.29 lakh and Rs 20.81 lakh, ex-showroom.
