When the Royal Enfield Himalayan was launched in 2016, it was the first completely new motorcycle the manufacturer had made in decades. Prior to this most of the Royal Enfield lineup used the same engine as in its Bullet, a motorcycle that has retained its overall design for close to 80 years now, making it the longest-running production motorcycle. The Himalayan follows the newer design ethos of the dual-sport motorcycle, otherwise known as an Adventure Tourer and is the cheapest of its kind you can buy currently. The Himalayan also has become the base for a lot of custom projects, and today we came across this one which focuses on its dual-sport capabilities.

Dubbed the “EL Diablo”, this modified Royal Enfield Himalayan is the brainchild of Way2Speed and Modsters. Seeing most modifications of Royal Enfields in India being a cafe racer, chopper, bobber or scrambler, the modifiers wanted to go a different direction. This Himalayan has been modified to give it even better-touring capabilities than it already has.
Modifications include a new custom enduro fairing, custom handlebar, knuckle guards, high lift aerodynamic front fender, high lift rear fender, a custom exhaust system, and a saddle stay. The kit gives this Himalayan a much more touring focused character, especially the fairing which should help keep wind blast at bay. Overall, this a very well thought out set of modifications that makes the Himalayan more capable. The kit is priced at Rs 29,999 and you can contact Way2Speed if you’re interested.
