Updated Tata Nexon with Diamond-cut Rims Starts Reaching Dealerships

The Tata Nexon has been on sale for a while now and during its career, it has been updated quite a few times in order to stay fresh in the market and thus offer stiff competition to new arrivals like Kia Sonet and Nissan Magnite

Tata Nexon is one of the most popular SUVs offered by the carmaker in the Indian market. Last year, the carmaker introduced the new facelift model of the car, which gets several cosmetic and feature updates. Since then, the carmaker gave numerous updates to the SUV in terms of updated design, new colour shades and infotainment system. Recently, the automaker has updated the Nexon with a new set of alloy wheels, and it has started arriving at dealerships around India.

One can see in the images that the updated model of the car gets new two-tone rims replacing the V-shape shaped alloy wheels offered with the outgoing model. The 2021 Tata Nexon gets redesigned 16-inch five-spoke dual-tone diamond-cut alloy design. Recently, the automaker has also discontinued the Tectonic Blue colour shade of the SUV. It is now offered in five different paint options- Foliage Green, Daytona Grey, White, Pure Silver and Flame Red.

Do note that Tata will offer these new diamond-cut alloy wheels with the selected trims of Nexon. It includes six different variants namely- XZ+, XZ+ (S), XZ+ (O), ZXA+, XZA+ (O) and XZA+ (S). Apart from the addition of a new set of alloy wheels, no changes have been made to the SUV.

In the Indian market, Tata Nexon competes with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Toyota Urban Cruiser. It derives power from 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former develops 118bhp of power and 170 Nm of peak torque, while the latter shreds out power and torque outputs of 108bhp and 260 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base XE variant and goes all the way up to Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec XZA Plus (O) Diesel Dual Tone variant. The automaker also offers the electric version of the SUV in our market named Nexon EV. The Tata Nexon goes on to lock horns with the likes of Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300.
