2021 Bajaj Dominar 400 Facelift Visualized – Looks Sharp & Sassy

The Bajaj Dominar 400 started life as the Pulsar CS400 concept many years ago. Back then, it was almost for sure that the production version of the burly motorcycle would become the flagship model in the homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer‘s product portfolio. Finally, however, the CS400 made it to production as the Dominar 400 simply because Bajaj thought it apt to launch its biggest-ever motorcycle under a new brand name. Well, the street naked motorcycle is 5 years old now and could soon receive a mid-life makeover and that’s what’s exactly been visualised in the 2021 Bajaj Dominar 400 facelift rendering image we have below.

Conceptualized by abin_designs_511, the 2021 Bajaj Dominar 400 facelift looks future-ready and sharper than ever before whilst maintaining the macho look of the current model. At the front-end, the motorcycle has retained its disc rotor and the alloy wheels, while even the mudguard remains the same except for the absence of the ‘ABS’ decal. Moving upward, you’ll notice the new headlamp that looks edgier and hence, less roundish than the one on the current model. Flanking the new unit is a reworked flyscreen. Moving forward, you’ll see that the motorcycle has been given new tank shrouds that are not only larger than the one on the current model but are even far sleeker.

The fuel tank remains unchanged but the knee recess has been given matte black plastic coat to avoid scratches on the paintwork. The side panel and the seat has remained untouched and so is the case with the engine cover. The engine cowl, however, has seen a drastic transformation. Like the tank shrouds, it has got bigger in size and even looks far sharper than the rather basic unit on the current model. The rest of the motorcycle has remained unchanged. Overall, there are not many updates but the new bits do come together pretty well to bestow the Bajaj Dominar 400 with a sharper and sleeker look while not affecting its macho appeal.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 shares its engine with the KTM 390 Duke, albeit, in a lower state of tune that allows comfortable long-distance cruising. The motor outputs a maximum power of 40PS and a peak torque of 35Nm, and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission aided by a slipper clutch. Initially, at the time of launch, the Dominar offered only 40PS and the power was later bumped up to 40PS, which means there are slim chances of the motorcycle getting another power update with the facelift.
