While both these hatchbacks will come with a 1.0-litre direct-injection turbo petrol engine, the N-Line will also feature some key mechanical tweaks to allow for better driving dynamics. The entire purpose of the N-Line variant of the i20 is to make enthusiastic driving accessible to all. In a bid to achieve that, the i20 N-Line will have a slightly different suspension setup to aid with high-speed stability and better control around the corners. The exhaust step might also be tweaked a little to create a sporty exhaust note which really puts the driver into that zone. Exterior Comparison

While the overall silhouette of both these cars will be identical, Hyundai will make sure that there are significant changes on the outside to distinguish the two. The i20 N-Line will have sportier bumpers with red highlights on the diffuser, distinct front grille, N-Line badging at various body parts, dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, sports body cladding, new chrome-finished twin exhaust pipe and a roof-mounted rear spoiler. These elements will clearly distinguish the more aggressive i20 from the regular one.

Features and Interiors Comparison

Essentially, the overall layout of the two will be the same. Hyundai is adding a few N-Line-specific elements on the inside as well which will allow the customers to differentiate between the two readily. Apart from sporting an all-black interior, the N-Line variant will feature, at various places, red stitching on the upholstery, maybe on the dashboard or central console, seatbelts and door panels. Although Hyundai has not officially revealed the cost of the i20 N-Line, we expect that it will be priced at almost Rs 1 lakh premium over the top-trim i20 turbo. The top trim Hyundai i20 currently costs Rs 11.40 lakh, ex-showroom. Therefore, the N-Line variant of the i20 might be priced at around Rs 12.50 lakh, ex-showroom.

If you are someone, who loves to drive and had not liked any other hot-hatch in our market till now because all of them focussed too much on performance and not on features, the i20 N-Line might be the one for you.
