Bookings for the Creta-rival VW Taigun have commenced online from today. For now, the bookings will be made open only for the ‘Taigun Squad’ members who had earlier shown interest in the vehicle. The Skoda Kushaq sibling mid-size SUV will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform specifically developed for the Indian market by the VW Skoda Group. As a result, the Taigun boasts of one of the best wheelbase in the segment. The 95% localization with this platform will allow VW to price the Taigun aggressively too. The mid-size SUV segment is getting more and more competitive day by day and the carmakers must ensure that their products stand out in the crowd. Taigun will be the make-or-break product for the VW Group in India and it is counting heavily on the SUV. The online bookings for the SUV have begun and the launch will likely take place at the end of August or the beginning of September. Let us do a recap of what the Taigun will offer.

Creta-Rival VW Taigun – Exterior Design
The Taigun borrows a lot of boldness from its elder sibling, the Tiguan, in terms of the front grille pattern, LED headlamps integrated within the frame of the grille to make it look like one single unit, LED DLRs, upright stance, sporty bumpers, plenty of chrome elements to make the front appear blingy. The sides feature the characteristic sharp creases that we have seen on other VW products as well, stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, chrome belt under the window line. The rear is arguably the most happening space of the SUV with a blacked-out light slab connecting the two taillamps, chrome on the rear bumper as well. All in all, the exterior design of the Taigun represents the typical design language of the German carmaker but there are plenty of modern bits to the liking of the Indian customers.
