Tata Nexon Owner Accuses Dealership of Theft and Mishandling of SUV

A bizarre incident of Tata Motors’ service centre employees stealing a camera from a Tata Nexon surfaces. The service experience of the customers owning Tata products keeps getting worse. This is not ideal for a carmaker who is looking to grab a 10% market share in a fast-growing market like India. The Nexon owner dropped off his car for service and maintenance to get some parts fixed after a few damages. First of all, the person in charge at the workshop assured the owner that the car will be delivered in 3 working days. However, there was the flooding of water in the service centre because it is too near to the water body. The delivery of the Nexon kept getting delayed time and time again. After a few days, the personnel at the service centre stopped receiving calls from the owner and he had no idea what the status of his car is. After more than a month, he finally received his car. However, the dashcam from the car was missing. Its equipment like the cables and USB was still intact. The owner reported this to the customer care executive at the service station and he said that the workers had removed it for cleaning.

However, nothing was done after that. When the Nexon owner called again, the guy at the dealership said that someone removed the dashcam but not accepting it. Now, this is really shocking coming from the official service workshop of Tata Motors. The customer then went on to report this incident on the customer forums and also initiated the service centre that he will have to file an FIR against the service centre. This is a bizarre case of Tata service centre employees stealing the accessory from the car and not accepting it. We sincerely hope that such incidents shouldn’t go unnoticed and strict action should be taken against them by the brand itself.
