Watch Reaction of Mahindra XUV500 Owner After Driving XUV700!

Here is the review of Mahindra XUV700 by an XUV500 owner after driving the former. The XUV700 has created a ton of buzz after the launch. The first 50,000 bookings were completed within 3 hours which is an unprecedented figure for any car in India. Mahindra announced a price hike just after the first day of opening the bookings. It aims to fetch potential customers from the mid-size SUV segment both in the 5 and 7-seat configuration. Hence, it rivals the SUVs like the Creta, Seltos, Hector, Harrier, Astor as well as Hector Plus, Safari and Alcazar. With the kind of response the SUV has seen, it looks like a lack of rapid production is the only hurdle it will face. Let us take a look at what an XUV500 owner has to say about the XUV700 after driving it.

The XUV500 owner drives the automatic version and test drives the diesel automatic version too. Hence, he is an ideal candidate to review both generations of XUV. Not to mention, the new-gen comes loaded with modern tech and convenience features. The cabin layout and technology are significantly more advanced in the new model. This extends to the driving experience too. The XUV500 owner compares the automatic transmissions of the two and finds that the new XUV700 is worlds apart from the older version in terms of lag control and smoothness of gearshifts. The suspension is also a bit softer compared to the previous-gen model which means that the passengers will not feel the potholes and bumps on the roads too much. He is of the opinion that the older model looks more masculine than the newer one.
