Renault has accidentally revealed details of its newly updated Zoe ahead of the car's debut at the Paris Motor Show. The EV will see its range nearly double to 248 miles on one charge.
The details were inadvertently published on Renault's Dutch brand website late last night, and indicate that the biggest change to the Zoe will be a battery capacity that jumps from 41kWh to 22kWh. It means that the electric supermini can travel 108 miles further on a charge than before, and 93 miles more than its main rival, the Nissan Leaf.
Three variants of the Zoe are set to be announced in Paris, with entry level cars producing 76bhp, mid-spec models offering 87bhp and the flagship with 89bhp. There's no indication yet on whether all of these will come to the UK, and if the base price will be lowered from £13,445 as a result.
Early indications suggest that the Zoe's exterior design will stay largely unchanged from the current car. It's thought the interior will receive some minor upgrades, but nothing revolutionary. We'll learn the full story tomorrow when our reporters head to the Paris show.
