Caterham has revealed a new special edition Seven at the Goodwood Revival, called the Seven SuperSprint. It’s the second model to be revealed as part of the Seven’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

Like the Seven Sprint, the SuperSprint will be limited to 60 examples. It moves away from the road-going looks of the Sprint, morphing into a more track based offering with a single-seater option and a large roll bar. It’s still a retro-inspired machine, however.

The Seven SuperSprint gets a unique Brooklands style windscreen, quilter and stitched seats trimmed in Scottish leather, a wooden rimmed steering wheel, plus a 1960s motorsport inspired livery. It’ll be available in six different paint colours.

Under the long bonnet sits a 95bhp three-cylinder engine, while there’s also race inspired adjustable suspension, a Caterham Works Racing developed live rear axle, and a limited slip differential. The seats are kitted out with four-point racing harnesses too.

It rides on 14-inch steel wheels finished in cream, while retro tyres are provided by Avon. Disc brakes are found at the front, but the rear gets its stopping power from a pair of drum brakes.

Following its debut at the Goodwood Revival, the Caterham Seven SuperSprint will go on sale immediately, priced from £29,995.
