The new Renault Duster is going to get a complete overhaul, both on the exterior as well as the interior profile. Furthermore, the next-generation Duster is going to get a host of new features. Is going to stand as a tough competitor to the Hyundai Creta.
We have informed you in one of our earlier reports that Renault is considering to launch the next-generation Duster in India this year. The latest iteration of this compact SUV has already made its public debut in other international markets. The 2018 Renault Duster comes with an all-new exterior design as well as interior layout. Furthermore, in its new avatar, the Duster will offer a wide array of features and stand as a premium product in its segment. The current generation Duster has been quite a major player for Renault in India. However, with new and better products in the market, its sales have now started to show a little strain.
New Renault Duster 2018 Launch Date In India
We were expecting Renault to debut the new Duster in India at the 2018 Auto Expo. However, that did not turn out to be the case. it seems that the French automaker is yet to begin the updated Duster’s testing in India. Consequently, we expect the 2018 Duster to launch in India sometime during the latter half of 2018. Probably around the festive season this year.

New Renault Duster 2018 Expected Prices
One of the major unique selling point of the current generation of the Renault Duster is its highly competitive prices. Expect the new Duster to have equally aggressive prices. To put things in perspective, the next-generation version of this compact SUV is going to retail in-between the price of INR 8 Lakh to INR 12 Lakh.

New Renault Duster: A Quick Overview
As mentioned before, the next-generation Renault Duster has already made its public debut in the international markets. Renault is going to bring the same version of this compact SUV to India as well. However, the automaker is likely to make some mechanical changes in order to make the SUV meet Indian driving conditions and regulations.

That said, as far as the design goes, we expect the India specific version to resemble its international sibling. The new Duster comes with a much more mature stance in comparison to the current spec model. In addition to this, the styling makes the SUV look quite premium than before, something which the buyers in India will approve.
Furthermore, the interiors will get a major upgrade. The Renault Duster primarily competes against the Hyundai Creta, which has a very premium and up-market cabin. The current generation Duster lacks in offering that to its customer to some extent. Hence, we expect the next-generation Duster’s cabin to have a plusher feel.
In addition, to design and cabin updates, the new Duster will also get a wide variety of new features. These are likely to include touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, GPS Navigation, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and dual-airbags to name a few.
In the international markets, the new Renault Duster comes with 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.6-litre diesel engine. Both these engines are likely to make their way to India as well. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 125 BHP along while the 1.5-litre oil-burner is good for 130 BHP of power. The compact SUV is going to get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard across the range. However, Renault is likely to introduce a 6-speed automatic unit in the new Duster’s line-up as well.
