Speculations are high stating that Hyundai might launch the 2019 version of the Santa Fe SUV in India next year. The 2019 Santa Fe is offered with a choice of three different engines. Out of these, two are petrol motors while one is a diesel. The petrol engines are the 2.4-litre GDI and the 2.0-litre turbocharged unit. The former produces 185 BHP, the latter is good for 232 BHP. The diesel engine is the new 2.2-litre unit. It is capable of churning out 200 BHP. An 8-speed transmission will come as standard for all the engines. Hyundai is claiming that this gearbox is lighter and more efficient than the 6-speed unit that it replaces. The Santa Fe also comes with Hyundai’s HTRAC ALL-Wheel Drive unit which offers a multi-mode driving system (Normal, Sport and Smart).

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe- Mileage
Though the engine specifications of the India bound version of this SUV are not confirmed, we can still speculate on the mileage that the said engines will deliver. For the petrol powered derivatives, the Santa Fe is expected to deliver a mileage of 12 to 13 km/l. While for the diesel derivatives, this could stand at about 14 to 16 km/l. This premium SUV, in the international markets, comes with a petrol hybrid powertrain as well. This version is said to give a mileage of close to 24 km/l.

Those who are familiar with Hyundai will clearly see that the exterior profile of the Santa Fe resembles with the Kona Concept. Up-front, the SUV gets sleek and sharp headlamps. Sitting below which is a large chrome strip that runs across the bonnet’s length. Of course, dominating the facia is Hyundai’s signature hexagonal grille. The bumper accommodates the fog-lamp housing which looks quite bold, thanks to the angular cuts. Bold shoulder lines and curvaceous door panels enhance the premium appeal of this SUV.
