The news is confirmed as suggested by a lot of online reports. At the Auto Expo 2018, Honda Car India had confirmed about the launch of 3 new cars by next year. The Amaze has launched, Honda CR-V is expected to launch by this October and the Civic is bound for next year. Civic will join the list of premium sedans which already includes Corolla Altis, Octavia, and Elantra. The facelift version gets some minor cosmetic upgrades and some extra features. 1. Launch Date in India

As per the various online reports, the Honda Civic 2018 Facelift is going to launch in India by the first half of 2019. Now it is unveiled, following which it might come in the markets by December 2018. Once, it has reached the international markets, it might in the Indian markets any time in the first half of 2019.

2. Price in India

Earlier, the Honda Civic launched at a starting price of Rs 11 Lakhs, making it the costliest in its segment. Now, we expect it to launch between Rs 14 Lakhs to Rs 20 Lakhs. This price is perfect for a sedan coming in the premium sedan segment. The base variant might start somewhere from around Rs 14 Lakhs and the top-end variant could retail around Rs 20 Lakhs. At this price, it will compete with Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra, and Skoda Octavia. This rivalry has been going from a long time when the Civic was launched in India.

3. Features

Being a premium sedan, you can expect a lot of features onboard. The Honda Civic 2018 will come with LED Projector headlamps, LED DRLs with LED tail lights, Electric Sunroof, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, auto dimming rear view mirror, Adaptive Cruise control, Heated seats, 60:40 Split rear folding seats and more. However, Honda cars do come with premium features, but they are the most comfortable and premium in their respective segments.

Safety features of the Honda Civic 2018 Facelift include ABS with EBD and 6-airbags, Brake Assist, Collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, Hill Climb and Descent Assist and Vehicle Stability Program.

4. Engine Specs

The Honda Civic 2018 will get a 1.8 Litre i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.6 Litre Earth Dreams diesel engine. The petrol engine produces around 140 BHP of power and 174 Nm of torque. The diesel engine churns out 160 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque.  The petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed MT with a 6-speed CVT. The diesel engine will also continue with the 6-speed MT and an optional 9-speed CVT gearbox. The mileage estimates are around 12 KMPL on the petrol engine and around 20 KMPL on the diesel engine.

5. Design

The Honda Civic 2018 Facelift gets minor tweaks over the exterior body. In the front, it continues with the pre-facelift headlamp design. The trademark front grille is now black instead of the usual chrome. It also gets a revised front bumper. Other new details include side skirts, new alloy wheels and LED lightings. At the rear end, the facelift Civic gets C-shape LED tail lights with a small spoiler on the boot lid and faux air-vents on the bumper. Overall, it looks quite stylish and refreshing.
