The interior and feature details of the upcoming 2018 Hyundai Santro has been leaked. It gets many segment first features as it rivals Wagon R and Tiago. The tall-boy will be unveiled on 9th October following a launch on 23rd October.
We all know the 2018 Hyundai Santro (Read More) is making a comeback in India. Hyundai is unveiling the tall-boy hatchback on 9th October and the launch is happening on 23rd October. As the date is near, many details and spy shots are being leaked online. The recent news from Autocar India says that the upcoming Santro will get many segment-first features. Its main rivals include Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Tata Tiago and Celerio. The Santro is going to start from Rs 2.99 lakhs and might go up to Rs 5.5 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom).
Moving on, it is going to get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is a segment first. Neither WagonR, Tiago and Celerio get this features. Moreover, it might also feature Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the top-spec trim.

The list of segment-first features continue.
It might also get rear AC vents, which are not seen in any hatchbacks in its segment.
Other features like steering mounted audio controls, auto AC, front and rear power windows from the mid-spec trim, a Multi-Information Display and such features are also expected.
Wait. If it gets a touchscreen infotainment system, then there are chances of a rear parking camera too.
Various reports confirm that rear parking sensors will be standard fitment and the top-spec variant will further get a rear-parking camera as well. Sensors are given in the Tiago XT and XZ variants, but not on the WagonR and Celerio.

Other safety features will include dual front airbags and ABS as standard fitment. The higher variants would get ISOFIX, seat pre-tensioners and the Rear parking sensors with a camera.
Besides the tall-boy looks, it also carries the same but an updated engine of the old original Santro.
The 2018 Hyundai Santro will come with an updated 1.1 Litre Epilson petrol engine. The power figure is 70 BHP and it will give 95 Nm of peak torque. The expected fuel-efficiency on road is around 20 kmpl. It will come with a 5-speed manual transmission and Hyundai might offer with AMT as well.
The 2018 Hyundai Santro will also come in CNG variant. It would not be company fitted, but the respective dealer will fit the company manufactured CNG kit.
