Aprilia is planning to launch 2 completely new scooter for the Indian market in 2019. The first scooter to launch will most likely be the Storm 125. The Storm 125 was revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Aprilia recently launched the facelift of SR 150 and two limited editions – Race and Carbon – based on the SR 150 scooter. Now, the latest reports suggest that Aprilia is going to launch an exclusive scooter for India in 2019. It is actually going to launch two new scooters. The one includes the Storm 125, which was earlier showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. Looks like, Aprilia is going to extend its lineup with pure racing scooters.
Talking about the Storm 125, it looks very different from the SR 125.
The Storm 125 is based on the SR 125 but gets heavy cosmetic upgrades. These cosmetic upgrades give it a new look and make it look different from the SR 125. The Storm comes with a similar body structure but gets a matte-finished colour and different type of decals.

The Storm 125 gets power by the same 124.6cc air-cooled engine. The engine produces 9.46 BHP of power and 8.2 Nm of torque. It is one of the quickest accelerating scooters in its segment.
The Storm was earlier supposed to launch in December 2018, but the plan was postponed. We can expect it to be launched in the first quarter of 2019.
Now talking about the new scooter, it will even feature a newly design chassis.

We all know despite looking sporty and giving a good performance, the Aprilia scooters are not practical enough. They lack storage space, comfort, and features. So in this upcoming new Aprilia scooter, we can easily expect some practicality in form of more storage options and a considerable better seat for better comfort.
We think this one will also come with better features. We can expect LED headlamps, a fully digital speedometer, USB charging point, LED tail lights and a bigger boot for more storage.
Talking about the looks, we think it will also be an all-new design.

Aprilia has given good looks to its scooters in India and they are definitely the sportiest of the lot. So, we do not need to worry about the design. A sporty and classy approach is expected on the new scooter.
Lastly, we expect this scooter to launch in India along with the Storm. So, a launch date of the April-May period can be expected.
