Yes, you heard it right. The Ideal Jawa LTD India was recently bought by Mahindra and the homegrown automaker now plans to revive the Jawa brand with their first model as the cult classic 350. So as we give you the details, here are the five things that you should know about the upcoming Jawa 350.

1. Launch Date
So, Anand Mahindra had tweeted once about the imminent resurrection of the Jawa 350 Read More. Sometime after that, when a fellow Twitter user asked Mahindra about the Jawa, he replied that it is coming this year. After that, there are no such details about the Classic. But we believe, it might launch later this year.
2. Price
Since it is the revival of a classic bike, it will not be under Rs 1 Lakh. Moreover, it is squarely aimed at the Classic 350. So expect a similar pricing range of around Rs 1.5 Lakhs. At this price, it stays in a similar price range.

3. Design
We wish, we could have just got the older Jawa 350. There are not many changes in the design, just there is a bit of a modern touch. It will retain the original cafe racer looks with the single seat, iconic round headlamps, chrome inserts on the body parts and the spoke wheels. The modern features will include a twin-pod instrument cluster, ABS and projector/halogen headlamps.
4. Engine Specifications
Powering the Jawa 350 will be a 346cc air-cooled engine. The engine produces 23 BHP of power and 32 Nm of torque. Earlier, it used to come mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. However, the upcoming Jawa will get a 5-speed manual transmission. The exhaust note will be different but still would turn the heads around.
5. Top Speed, Mileage and Weight
The top-speed expected of the Jawa 350 is around 120 km/hr. The figure will be similar to that of Classic 350. The mileage estimated of the bike is around 33 kmpl. Lastly, like the RE bikes, the Jawa will also be heavy. The global-spec bike has a dry weight of 160 kgs and the same is expected for the Indian spec.
