Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 global prices are out. The 650 Twins are going to launch in India in November-December period. The Continental GT is a cafe racer and the Interceptor is a street bike.
Finally, the much-awaited Twins are launched globally. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 (Read More) global prices are out, as both the bikes are launched. The launch event took place in the USA, where it will retail first. It is going to come to India definitely by November-December period. The India launch is confirmed by RE Ceo, Siddhartha Lal himself. The Continental retails for USD 5999 and the Interceptor goes for USD 5799.
If we convert the prices to the Indian rupee, the Continental goes up to a whopping 4.35 Lakhs and the Interceptor goes up to 4.21 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices). However, we believe the India prices will be lesser because of local manufacturing. Expect the GT to go for 3.5 Lakhs and the Interceptor for around Rs 3 Lakhs.

While these were the prices for the standard colours, Custom colours and Chrome colours demand more price. Custom coloured GT retails for USD 6249 and Chrome one retails for USD 6749. The Custom coloured Interceptor goes for USD 5999 and the Chrome one goes for USD 6499.
If you take a look at both of the bikes, you might hardly notice the difference. The difference lies in the fuel tank, footpegs, handlebars, and the seat. The Interceptor has its handle placed higher than that of GT. The reason is that GT is a cafe racer, it comes with a dedicated sitting position. The Interceptor is more of a Roadster and follows a relaxed seating style.
The Continental GT 650 comes with an optional single seat, sculpted fuel tank, rear set footrests, and race-style clip-on handlebars. It is meant for high-speed blasts and winding roads because of its dedication position style.

On the other hand, the Interceptor 650 comes with distinctive teardrop tank with traditional knee recesses, comfortable, quilted dual seat and wide, braced handlebars. Typical traits of a roadster from the 1960s. The INT is basically for long tours and is practical on all types of terrain.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 come with a 648cc twin-parallel engine. It is the first RE bike since 1970 to feature a twin-parallel engine. The engine produces around 47 BHP of max. power and 32 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, it uses a 6-speed gearbox paired to a wet multi-plate clutch.

The top speed recorded on the Twins is around 160 km/hr. RE claims that both the bikes will deliver a mileage figure of around 25.5 kmpl, which is pretty decent for a 650cc bike.
