Next-gen Hyundai Xcent to make its debut in 2020

As per latest reports, next-gen Hyundai Xcent will launch by 2020. The compact sedan might get additional features like a sunroof and will be wider than the current one. 

The current Hyundai Xcent comes packed with a lot of features, which are sufficient as per the competition it receives. If you closely look, the Xcent looks like an extended version of the Grand i10. Reports say that Next-Gen Hyundai Xcent will get its own identity and will probably launch in 2020. Definitely, it would not get any bigger. However, reports say that the width, as well as the cabin space, will increase. Along with the change in dimensions, a whole new design work along with some feature additions are expected.

Most of the sub-4 meter sedans look like an extended version of their hatchbacks. The Amaze looked like an extended version of Jazz. The current Xcent also looks like an extended Grand i10.

The latest Amaze is more sporty and stylish than the previous generation. It received a whole new bodywork, differentiating itself from a sedan based on Jazz. Likewise, the next-gen Hyundai Xcent will follow the same process.

Reports say that the next-gen Hyundai Xcent will grow in width and will focus on the cabin space. Hyundai aims to provide better headroom, leg and shoulder space for the passengers, especially for those sitting in the rear. It might share its underpinnings with the upcoming next-gen Hyundai Grand i10.

The Xcent might come with some additional features too. It might get revised AC vents, charging socket at the back, an electric sunroof and LED projector headlamps. It might also get longer rear doors making it look like a proper sedan.

The next-gen Hyundai Xcent will most likely use the same engine that comes in the current one. It will continue with the 1.2 Litre petrol and the 1.2 Litre diesel engines. The engines will come with BS-VI compliant emission norms. Also, the upcoming next-gen Xcent and Grand i10 might use in-house AMT gearbox instead of torque converter units.

The safety features onboard the next-gen Hyundai Xcent will include dual front airbags, ESP, EBD with ABS, speed alert sensors and reverse parking sensors as standard fitments.
