2019 Nissan Kicks has been unveiled for India. The Kicks SUV is taller, longer and wider than the global spec version and is reportedly going to launch in India by January 2019.
Nissan India has been teasing its upcoming Kicks SUV for a certain time. Today, it has unveiled the 2019 Nissan Kicks for India. Sadly, only the exteriors have been unveiled so we have to wait for the details of its interiors. As per reports, the launch is going to happen by January 2019. The Indian Kicks looks very identical to the global version. You can hardly tell the difference. In the front, the 2019 Nissan Kicks gets a revised bumper, faux air vents above the rectangular fog lamps and an aluminium skid plate.

It gets largely LED projector headlamps with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The Kicks gets a new honeycomb mesh grille and the chrome highlighted ‘V-Motion’ atop the grille. Other important features include a shark fin antenna, floating roof, Electric ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and front fog lamps.
Rest of the bodywork is almost as same as the global-spec. The 2019 Nissan Kicks retains the same body cladding, high wheel arches, blacked out pillars and the floating roof. The 17-inch alloy wheels also remain the same. At the rear, it gets a reworked bumper and chrome detailing above the number plate.
Overall, the 2019 Kicks looks like a well-built, premium and sturdy SUV. Elements like skid plates, muscular wheel arches and high ground clearance add more to the sporty looks of the SUV.

Coming on to the dimensions, the Indian-spec Kicks is 89 mm longer, 71 mm taller and 53 mm wider. The wheelbase stands at 2673 mm, which is 57 mm longer than the global spec.
The 2019 Nissan Kicks India-spec uses the Alliance’s M0 platform, which is also used in the Captur. The global-spec sits on Nissan’s V-Platform. However, the Kicks is longer and taller than the Captur.
As of now, we have no details of its interiors. The 2019 Nissan Kicks will get a bigger cabin that the global-spec. The interior features like the 8-inch floating touchscreen, auto-climate, push-start engine, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and more features will be there in the Indian-spec too.
The Indian Kicks will use Terrano’s petrol and diesel engine. The 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 106 HP and 150 Nm of torque. The 1.5 Litre diesel engine produces 106 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The diesel comes only with a 6-speed manual, whereas the petrol unit pairs up with a 5-speed manual and an optional CVT gearbox.

Since it will be positioned above Terrano, we expect the pricing to start off at Rs 11 Lakhs onwards. The top-variant will be priced at around Rs 16 Lakhs. At this price, it falls in the proper range of Captur and Creta.
