Nissan Kicks teaser is out and it has revealed its exterior features. Kicks SUV is set to launch in the early months of 2019. It gets many segment first features, creating a tough rivalry against Hyundai Creta.
Nissan Kicks was revealed last month in India. Ahead of the launch in early 2019, Nissan has created a teaser from its unveiling in India. The teaser showcases the exteriors of Kicks and gives details of its features.
Kicks comes with 17-inch 5 spoke alloy wheels, electric retractable ORVMs, LED turn indicators on ORVMs, signature V-Motion front grille, LED Projector headlamps with LED DRLs and a high ground clearance. The ground clearance figure stands unspecified at the time.
Other than that, there are no official details of the engine or features. Although, reports say that Kicks will get segment first 360 degrees camera and semi-digital instrument cluster with integrated GPS navigation on the cluster.

These features take Nissan Kicks to another level in terms of features. Usually, such features are found in expensive cars and not in ones under Rs 20 Lakhs.
The 360-degree camera can be switched on/off anytime as per convenience. The cameras are placed at the front, back and on either side mirrors. Another feature offered is a telematics-enabled smartwatch.
The smartwatch displays information such as speed of the car at a certain time, geo-fencing, vehicle’s location, tow-away alert, way to the car and vehicle battery level. This information is also available on the Nissan Connect app, which comes equipped with all Nissan models in India.

Safety features onboard will include dual front airbags, ABD with EBD, Electronic Stability Program, ISOFIX mounts and reverse parking sensors as standard fitment. On higher variants, 360-degrees camera, hill-hold control and more airbags will be offered.
For engine purposes, it is most likely to use Terrano’s engine. Nissan might offer the SUV with a 1.5 Litre petrol engine and a 1.5 Litre turbo diesel engine. The petrol engine puts out 105 BHP and 142 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine puts out 110 BHP and 240 Nm of peak torque.
For transmission purposes, it will use a 5-speed gearbox with an optional CVT gearbox with petrol variant. Diesel variants are likely to get a 6-speed manual only.

We expect the prices to start off at Rs 11 Lakhs or so, going up to Rs 16 Lakhs. The prices will keep it in competition with Mahindra Scorpio, upcoming Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur.
