The Royal Enfield 650 Twins include the street-roadster Interceptor and the cafe-racer Continental GT 650. Earlier, in India, Continental GT 535 was sold, which is now officially stopped. The Twins are the most powerful Royal Enfield bikes at the moment.

The Twins look very identical to each other. If you look closely, there are minor 2-3 differences altogether. Both the bikes have different sets of the fuel tank, foot pegs, seating arrangement and the handlebar. While GT 650 follows a dedicated riding position, the Interceptor follows a bit relaxed position.

They get a new 648cc parallel twin-cylinder engine. The engine cranks out 47 BHP and 53 Nm of peak torque. The engine pairs up with a 6-speed slip and assist clutch.  As of now, the Royal Enfield 650 Twins are the only ones that come with a parallel twin-cylinder engine.

The dimensions of both the bikes are also similar. The Royal Enfield Interceptor is 4-5 kgs heavier than Continental GT 650 and is also bigger than that. As per official claims, they can deliver a top speed of 160 km/hr. The mileage approximated on this engine is around 25-27 kmpl.

Currently, Royal Enfield is under pressure due to their ongoing workers strike. As a result, there is a production loss of around 25,000 bikes. That’s why there are rumours about the production and delivery of the bike getting delayed. The deliveries are expected to begin in January.

If it follows the expected pricing, it will be the cheapest parallel twin-cylinder bikes in India.
