Through a series of recent spy shots, the Tata Harrier Interiors now stand completely revealed!
The all-new SUV from Tata Motors is going to launch in India during the month of January next year.
The exteriors of this SUV were recently revealed by the automaker on its official website.
And as we reported to you, the exteriors of this SUV match to a great extent to its concept iteration which we all saw at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Going by the interiors images we can clearly make out the dashboard layout, the large infotainment screen and the instrument cluster.

Based on the spy photos, the Tata Harrier Interiors follow a dual-tone grey-brown colour combination.
It also gets a MID with two conventional dials for the speed and RPM. Coming to the centre console, it comes with a large touchscreen infotainment system.
It bears a floating type arrangement, however, it is quite different and comparatively large in comparison to the one that we see on the Tata Nexon.
It gets the selector for drive modes and air-vents similar to Nexon. The spied mule gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Harrier will come with a 2.0 Litre Multijet diesel engine. This engine produces 140 BHP of power and 350 Nm of torque.
For the transmission duties, it comes with a 6-speed Manual gearbox and optional 9-speed Automatic transmission.
At the time of launch, the Harrier will be available with just the manual gearbox. The 9-speed automatic unit will make its debut with the 7-seater variant of this SUV. The latter is expected to launch in India sometime during the second half of 2019.
This gearbox is sourced from Hyundai. We expect a mileage figure of around 12 KMPL in the city and around 15 KMPL on the highway.

Reports suggest that a petrol variant and electric variant of the Harrier are also in development. It could get a 2.0 Litre petrol engine sometime after the launch.
We are not sure about the electric variant, but there are chances of it. However, certain media reports state that the electric variant will come in 2020.
It would get similar features of the Hexa and Nexon.
Feature list would include Electric sunroof, Rear AC vents, Cruise Control, LED projector headlamps with DRLs, A bigger touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, hands-free tailgate and different driving modes.

Safety features onboard would include 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Launch and Hill Descent assist, Front and Rear Parking sensors with rear camera and Traction Control.
Also, the Harrier is built on Tata’s new Omega platform, which is much stronger and lighter and a derivative of Land Rover’s L550 platform.
Lastly, we talk about its competition. The Tata Harrier will go against the likes of Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV 500.
If it starts from Rs 14 Lakhs, then the mid-variants of Harrier could compete with the top variants of Hyundai Creta.
