Bajaj Pulsar 125 is a new entrant in the Pulsar series and it has received an overwhelming response from the Indian market. The result is such that in just two months, the sales of the Pulsar 125 have crosses 40k units.

The bike was launched in August and it comes at a starting price tag of Rs 64,000 for the drum brake variant. Yes, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 comes in two trims, drum and disc. The price for the latter sticks to Rs 66,586. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Talking about the Pulsar 125 then it carries a single-cylinder, 124 cc petrol engine. It produces 11.8 bhp of power with a peak torque of 11 Nm at 6,500 rpm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is offered in both Disc and Drum variants.

Suspension wise, both the bikes, carry telescopic at the front and twin gas shock at the rear. The 125 cc Pulsar measures 2,055 mm in length, 755 mm in width and 1,060 mm in height. It gets a wheelbase of 1,320 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm in total with seat height sticking to 790 mm. The kerb weight of the bikes is 140 kg.

Braking wise, the disc brake trim of the bike receives 240 mm disc brake at the front and a drum brake of 130 mm. The standard drum brake trim gets 170 mm at the front and 130 mm at the rear. The alloy wheel size sticks to 17 inches for both the trims.

Some of the key features of the bike include a digital speedometer and odometer and fuel gauge. The tachometer gets an analogue unit and electric start. It also receives low fuel warning, LED taillamp, pass light, turn signal and pillion grab rail.

Currently, the Pulsar 125 gets a BS4 sourced petrol engine but soon it will be receiving a BS6 compliant engine before new emission norms kick in. Sadly, the 180cc will be discontinued.

The Pulsar 125 offers three colour options – Solar Red, Platinum Silver and Neon Blue. Also, the bike is also available with split seats and neon edition colours, just like its elder siblings. However, only select dealerships have this model. The bookings for the bike can be done from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 at the dealership level. The bike competes with the likes of Hero Glamour FI and Honda CB Shine SP.
