Benelli has finally launched the much awaited Imperiale 400 in India. The bike is a retro-styled cruiser and comes at an asking price of Rs 1.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). As of now, it is the most affordable motorcycle from Benelli.

After launching the TRK 502 Adventure motorcycles, Leoncino 500 and 250 Roadster/Scrambler, Benelli Imperiale is the fourth bike from its new partnership with AARI. The manufacturer offers first-in-class 3-Year Unlimited Kilometre Warranty as Standard and complimentary service for the first 2-years. The bookings for the bike have already commenced across the dealerships for Rs 4,000.

The Classic 350 starts from Rs 1.45 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 1.64 Lakhs. The 350 S variant is priced the lowest and the recently launched Signals 350 is the top-end variant.

For a tough competition, the Imperiale 400 is priced at Rs 1.69 Lakhs, which is just Rs 5,000 costlier than the top-end variant of Classic 350. Do not forget that Benelli offers higher warranty and 2 years of free servicing as well.

The Classic 350 comes with a 346cc Twin Spark engine. This engine produces 20 BHP power and torque worth 28 Nm. For transmission, it uses a 5-speed gearbox.

The Imperiale 400 gets a slightly powerful engine but has lower power figures. It gets a 374cc air-cooled SOHC FI engine that produces 21 BHP power and 29 Nm torque. Like RE, it also comes with a 5-speed transmission.

The Imperiale 400 looks a bit bigger if we see the exact dimension figures. The Imperiale is 2170 mm long, 820 mm wide and 1120 mm tall. It gets a bigger wheelbase of 1450 mm and a higher ground clearance of 170 mm. However, the Benelli Imperiale weighs 13 kgs more, at 205 kgs.

In the front, the Classic gets twin gas-charged shock absorbers with adjustable preload and Telescopic travel in the rear. The recently launched Classic 350 S comes with a single disc brake and single-channel ABS as well. However, rest of them come with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The Imperiale 400 gets telescopic forks in front and swingarm with a double shock absorber in the back. This bike uses front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard fitment.
