Hyundai Venue is the second most selling compact SUV after the popular Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breza

Hyundai made its entry late to the party in the sub-4-metre compact SUV segment with the Venue. But the Hyundai Venue got so popular in the Indian market that the bookings for the same sticks to 75000 units.

With that number, the bookings for the Hyundai Venue are just short of 25k units to reach to the 1Lakh mark. Despite the whole auto industry struggling to make the profits, Venue is attracting buyers very easily.

Well, one of the most important aspect as why the sales of Venue is gaining popularity is because of the right pricing. If you were to buy a base variant then it just comes at a price tag of Rs 6.5 lakh while the top end trim with the turbo petrol unit will cost you Rs 11.11 lakh only. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.

Another highlight is that it is the first SUV in the Indian market to feature connected car technology. Hyundai calls it as the BlueLink which allows you to give access to 37 functions.

Hyundai Venue Petrol Automatic Review

Another reason with the increasing sales is the availability of three different engines offered in the Hyundai Venue. It comes with two petrol and one diesel engine.

The 1.2-litre, four cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine churns out 83 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque. This engine does the duty on the Elite i20 too. Transmission option includes a 5-speed manual gearbox only.

The most powerful engine is the 1.0-litre, three cylinder, turbo petrol which makes 120 bhp with a peak torque of 172 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and also gets a choice of a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The diesel engine is a 1.4-litre turbocharged motor which makes 89 bhp on tap and 220 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox is available with the oil burner. The ARAI certified fuel economy for the petrol, turbo petrol and diesel sticks to 17.52 km/l, 18.1 km/l and 23.7 km/l respectively.

Hyundai Venue hosts a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth as connectivity features. It also gets features like an electric sunroof, air purifier, wireless charging and among others.

Safety features onboard include 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP/ESC and Vehicle Stability Management, High-Speed Alert System, Seat Belt Reminders, Hill Assist Control, ISOFIX, Brake Assist, Rear Parking Sensors.
