The Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition comes at a price of Rs. 1.73 lakhs, exactly similar to the standard motorcycle and owners will be selected on a lucky draw basis.
Jawa Motorcycles has launched the Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition in India at a price of Rs. 1.73 lakhs. This limited run motorcycle pays homage to the first ever Jawa motorcycle that was produced in 1929 – the Jawa 500 OHV – and comes painted in the same livery. The Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition celebrates the brand’s 90th year and the production number will also be limited to just 90 units. And no, you will not have to wait another year for this as its available for immediate deliveries.
The Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition comes painted in special classic colours which replicates the original 1929 Jawa 500 OHV motorcycle’s dark-red and cream colour combination. There will also be a 90th anniversary sticker with an individual serial number adorned by the beautiful pin strips on the fuel tank. The motorcycle also gets black leather seats and the entire paint scheme with the chrome engine and exhaust parts looks very attractive indeed.
However, it will continue with the same mechanical setup as the standard Jawa. It will be powered by a 293 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which produces 26 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. There’s telescopic forks upfront and dual shocks at the rear. The Jawa 90th Anniversary edition only comes as dual-channel ABS version. Surprisingly, the price of the motorcycle remains unchanged from the standard motorcycle.

So how do you actually a buy a Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition? Well, customers with an existing booking at Jawa can let a dealership know about their intent of owing the limited edition motorcycle and their bookings will be accordingly converted. For others, they have to place a booking at any Jawa dealership before October 22. Once all bookings have been taken, there will be a lucky draw where the bike maker will select 90 owners out of the bookings received. Once allotted, the motorcycles will be immediately dispatched to customers at their respective locations. Deliveries are expected to take place around November this year.

When Jawa set their foot back in India, they received an overwhelming response. So much so that their motorcycles saw a waiting period of over an year. However, since then, Jawa has been slowly streamlining its operations with faster product deliveries and dealers over the recent months. This limited run Jawa 90th Anniversary edition with price exactly similar to standard Jawa of Rs. 1.73 lakhs comes as a surprise, but a very sweet one of course. And that too with immediate deliveries.
