Maruti Suzuki Nexa Outlets hits One Million Mark in Four Years!

Maruti Suzuki NEXA currently sells the S-Cross, Ciaz, Baleno, Ignis and the XL6 and in August alone, NEXA sales accounted for 18.25% of total Maruti Sales.

Maruti Suzuki India has announced that its premium retail channel, NEXA has successfully sold over 1 million vehicles. NEXA was launched as a premium retail channel back in 2015 and in a span of four years, NEXA has 350+ outlets covering more than 200 cities across the country.

Speaking on the accomplishment, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “NEXA has rapidly grown to become a successful and fastest growing automobile retail channel in India. At NEXA, we have focused on making the car buying and car ownership a smooth and hassle free experience. We are proud and delighted to have achieved the benchmark of one million NEXA customers.This is a testament of our commitment towards providing the newest technologies to our customers. We thank all our customers for their continuous support in NEXA’s growth across India.”

The Nexa showrooms first started selling the S-Cross and soon added the Ciaz sedan to their lineup. Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Nexa showrooms retail the Baleno, the Ignis and the latest addition has been the XL6. Maruti says that Nexa is the third largest brand in India with regard to the number of cars sold.

In month of August 2019, cumulative sales of all Nexa cars was 17,007 units, which is actually about 18.25% of Maruti Suzuki’s total sales for the month which stood at 93,173 units. In comparison, Hyundai’s cumulative sales for August stood at 38,205 units – a little more than double of what just NEXA sold – putting it squarely in second place.

Maruti also claims that nearly half of all Nexa customers are under the age of 35, which is a testament of this premium sub-brand’s popularity with the tech-savvy youth of the nation. Besides its showrooms, the Nexa brand has also forayed into fashion (in collaboration with the International Indian Film Academy Awards and Lakme Fashion Week) and music (Nexa Music aims to create original English music mentored by A.R. Rahman).
